Ich werde ab 23.06 den Laugavegur gehen, kann mir jemand sagen ob es dann ab Landmannalaugar einen Verbingungsweg nach Laki gibt?

Ich habs mal in Mapsource ausgemessen. Landmannalaugar - Eldja sind 30 km. Sollte locker in 2 Tagen zu machen sein.
Will man dur Laki weiter muss man über die Skafta. Bis zur nächsten Brücke die ich sehe sind es noch mal 25 km etwa auch auf der F22. Von da aus müsste ein Trail zur Laki führen.

Danke Sebastian, hm muss ich mir noch überlegen ob ich das mache oder doch nach Laki mit dem Bus fahre und dann noch einen Tag am Jökulsarlon dranhänge.

ich würde den Weg Landmannalaugar-Laki mit dem Bus überbrücken. Wir sind letztes Jahr die Strecke Eldja-Landm. mit dem Bus gefahren. Ist wirklich sehenswert. Nur macht Pistenhatschen keinen Spaß wenn dich die Autos überholen. Würde ich mir keine 2 Tage antun.

Schau dir mal die Seite von Dieter Graser an. Der hat auch in dem Lakigebiet Touren unternommen. Auch der Thorsteen aus dem Forum war dort unterwegs. Müsste sogar nen Reisebericht geben..

Von Landmanalaugar kommst du nur nach Klaustur mit dem Bus, und von dort geht der Bus zum Laki, es sei denn du steigst an der einzigsten Skaftabrücke aus und läufst dann zum Laki rüber. Ist eine ganz hübsche Gegend aber auch sehr feucht bis zum Fagrifoss. Die letzten 10 Km gehen fast nur durch ziemlich trostlose Lava wenn du der Straße folgst. Das wegkommen von dort wird etwas schwerig aber ist machbar.

Ich werde es jetzt wie folgt machen, Porsmörk-Landmannalaugar in 2 Tagen, dann weitere 1-2 Tage in Landmannalaugar bleiben.
Dann fahr ich mit dem Bus zum Jökulsarlon werde dort sicher einen Tag und eine Nacht verbringen, dann Laki, vielleicht noch einen Tag Vik und am letzten Nachmittag Blue Lagoon oder Stadtausflug, vielleicht auch beides
Ich freu mich endlich wieder nach Island zu kommen

Ich wäre ja für Soulo mit Innenzelt, aber das willst du vermutlich nicht hören.

Ansonsten: Soulo ohne IZ, weil freistehend und angeblich bei manchen Verhältnissen dort recht sinnvoll.

Zur momentanen Situation auf dem Laugavegur:
"Due to conditions on the Fimmvörduháls ridge, where the volcanic eruption from March 20 to April 12 cut through a popular hiking trail, hikers with tour operator Útivist will not go on their conventional mid-summer tour across the ridge, but rather approach the eruption site from Thórsmörk.

Managing director of Útivist Skúli H. Skúlason said that although the trail has been reopened, conditions on top of the ridge are difficult with a layer of ash covering wet snow, Morgunbladid reports.

It was therefore considered safer not to lead such a large group across the ridge; 200 to 300 people usually participate in Útivist’s mid-summer hikes.

Skúlason said the most convenient path across the new lava on Fimmvörduháls has been found and members of Útivist and Ferdafélag Íslands, another hiking tour operator, will mark it in the coming days in consultation with the Environment Agency of Iceland.

Skúlason said it is important to direct hikers along a certain path across the lava to minimize the risk of accidents and damage to the new landscape.

There has also been some ash fall on the popular hiking trail Laugavegur between Landmannalaugar and Thórsmörk.

Die Organisatoren des Laugavegur-Ultra-Marathons äußern sich folgendermaßen: "It is widely known that the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull is considered to be over. The organizing committee for the run has been hoping that the event would be staged according to schedule, if it will be possible to drive along the road to Þórsmörk with passengers and supplies. The road has now been repaired and bus trips will be permitted under inspection.
These were good news for a while. But a road and a volcanic ash are two different things. The volcanic ash, as was internationally well known, traveled through the stratosphere all the way to Europe and wider. All through May the guards at Húsadalur at Þórsmörk could not detect any ash but that was too good to be true. The direction of the wind changed to northerly ash rained over Húsadalur and vicinity. The ash covers the whole of the area of the Laugavegur run from Landmannalaugar to Þórsmörk.
We have contacted some specialists who stated that with a good precipitation the ash could disappear underground. We will keep our fingers crossed for a while and will issue a new statement next week. Fear of Floods from Eyjafjallajökull Volcano Persist in Iceland

Authorities closed down Thórsmörk valley to traffic because of the danger of flash flooding down the Gígjökull glacier.

A lot of water seems to be sitting in the crater of Eyjafjallajökull glacier and this water is bound to burst down the Gígjökull glacier sooner or later. These waters will surge into the Markarfljót river which runs down Thórsmörk valley.
According to Kjartan Thorkelsson, chief of police in Rangárvallasýsla county, it is uncertain how vast the floods will be and so authorities have decided err on the side of caution and close Thórsmörk to visitors.

Thórsmörk nature reserve, a valley which sits between glaciers, is one of the most scenic spots in the country. It was also the scene of the Fimmvörduháls eruption which occurred on the mountain ridge above the valley, creating spectacular lava flows which ran over the ravines and into Thórsmörk.

The location attracts thousands of visitors every summer, many of whom camp and hike over the stunning highland trails.

Auf www.mbl.is habe ich nichts Neues gefunden, weder über die Öffnung der Strecke noch ob die Flut inzwischen abgegegangen ist.
Laut http://www.vegagerdin.is/english/roa...s-and-weather/, der Seite offiziellen Seite der Isl. Straßenverwaltung, ist die Strecke wieder auf. Am besten immer mal wieder diese beiden Seiten checken.
