Dolomiten - One night wild camping

Dear all,
Me, and 3 others are planning a trip to Venice via the Dolomite mountains. We like to spend at least one night in the wild, away from the cities, away from the people, and away from everything. All we want to do is, have a pleasant grill evening, spend the night in a tent and start the next day to Venice. We are travelling with a car, tents, mats, sleeping bags, and camping gas-cooker.

We are starting around 12:00 from Munich and plan to reach Dolomites around, 17-18 and do the above. So, my question is:
* Can any of you please propose me a place where I can do the above ?
* Have any of you been to this place. Coordinates: 46.667017, 12.353472. Can we do the above there ?


Some facts about us:
* We have never done wild camping before, but we have camped at camping places
* I know that such wild-camping is not exactly legal
* I know the weather might be cold. We have good Sleeping mats to hold upto, -4 C.

Eure Ausrüstung sollte genügen. Was mir noch nicht ganz klar ist: In wieweit wollt ihr euch vom Auto entfernen um übernachten zu können ?
Das mit dem Grillen ist imho keine gute Idee. Gegen Kocher und biwakieren spricht erstmal nicht viel.

Mit Blick auf Googlemaps: Ihr befindet euch hier (46.667017, 12.353472) vermutlich in einem Nationalpark. Da würde ich nicht direkt an einer Straße grillen wollen. Jedoch sieht bissl weiter westlich der Kies (?) (46.666432,12.341312) etwas besser aus.

Ich würde mir einen Berg suchen, an dem keine Skilifte verbaut sind und die Hüttendiche auch gering, und wo es dann irgendwann felsiger wird. Dort oben würde ich mir dann ein schönes Plätzchen suchen.

Der Kies sieht so ziemlich nach Flussbett aus. Auch wenn das momentan trocken ist, würde ich dort nicht unbedingt zelten wollen. Ein bisschen Regen und das Ding ist ein Sturzbach

Prakash, the Dolomites are very nice and worth a visit. How has your trip to trip to Soiernspitze been? Very cold, and lots of snow, I suppose?

First of all, thank you all for your tips and comments.

@loewe+tobby+camper21: You are right. May be I should avoid grilling. Regarding the place, until I go there, I dont know if I can find a place to set our tents. And I will avoid the lake bed.

@derSammy: I keep this in mind and google around a bit. Your picasa pics look cool. May be next time, i can just take one of your tours and spare myself the pain of planning

@sarekManiac: I didnt go there yet I had a small accident while parking at Garda lake, and the whole plan got messed up. That is the reason I'm still so eager to do some wild camping. And Summer is so short and beautiful in Europe and there's so much to see. Very soon it will be winter again
