Mal schauen, ob da was kommt.

The Bárðarbunga volcano is now classified as “Code Yellow”, although there are no indications that magma has reached the surface. (…) ..........Zuletzt geändert von Vegareve; 29.08.2014, 09:28."I pity snails and all that carry their homes on their backs." Frodo Baggins

Die Warnstufe wurde von Gelb ("Volcano is exhibiting signs of elevated unrest above known background level.") auf Orange ("Volcano shows heightened or escalating unrest with increased potential of eruption.") (http://en.vedur.is/weather/aviation/volcanic-hazards/) erhöht.Zuletzt geändert von Vegareve; 29.08.2014, 09:28."I pity snails and all that carry their homes on their backs." Frodo Baggins

Travelers in the area are urged to check updates on the website of the Icelandic Met Office, vedur.is.Zuletzt geändert von Chouchen; 18.08.2014, 23:40."I pity snails and all that carry their homes on their backs."

)"I pity snails and all that carry their homes on their backs." Frodo Baggins

Zuletzt geändert von Vegareve; 29.08.2014, 09:35."I pity snails and all that carry their homes on their backs." Frodo Baggins

Do not be fooled, this is not a photo of the Dyngjujökull eruption. This is a photo of a small sandstorm near the Bárðarbunga webcam, some distance away from the site where the eruption is supposed to have occurred."I pity snails and all that carry their homes on their backs." Frodo Baggins

Both the thickness of the ice at the possible contact point (100-400 m) and the volume of lava in possible contact with the ice are highly uncertain. It could be 0-20 hours before lava reaches the surface of the ice. It is also possible that the lava will not break through the ice.
Schaun mer mal."I pity snails and all that carry their homes on their backs." Frodo Baggins
