    how to get from Kautokeino to Hetta or any other Finnish town nearby

    Hi all!
    My German in not so good, that is why I am writinig in English. I need some help. My boyfriend and I have planned a journey through Europe following the Struve Arc. So my question is - does anybody know how to get from Kautokeino to Hetta or any other Finnish town nearby. The best option would be by bus. Any tips and info would be helpful. Thanks in advance

    There is no date, this plan for your journey is now, next month, summer, autumn, winter, spring,next year?
    Anyway, I found no bus so fast, but you can try to hitchhike, it is not a big distance.

      There is a bus from Kilpisjärvi to Hetta at 13.15. Maybe you can reach Kilpisjärvi by a norwegian bus.

        Thanks a lot. We are travlelling in about a week, which means that we should be at Kautokeino around 29th August. I have also looked for buses on line but couldnt find anything.

          As far as I know there is no bus operating on this street. Traveling via Kilpisjärvi or Karigasniemi would mean a long way around. I would try hitchhiking (but the street is probably not very busy) or just hiking if you have time. If you are in a hurry you can try to take a taxi but this is relatively expensive in Norway as well as in Finland.

            It seems like the bus Kautokeino <-> Hetta / Palojoensuu only operated until mid august, so hitchhiking, taking a cab or hiking another 3-4 days seems to be your best option.
